Commenting on the blog

We love getting comments on our blog! We are learning to write quality comments in our classroom and have found this YouTube clip helpful. It talks all about quality comments and what these should include in them.

Commenting on the Blog
We are learning to write quality comments on the blog.
We can…
·    End our comment with a question.
(e.g. What was your favourite part about your art work?)·    Read the other comments on the blog so we don’t repeat something that has already been said.
·    Proofread our comment by checking it makes sense, has a capital letter at the beginning and punctuation at the end.
·    Use only one exclamation mark.
·    Make a connection with something posted on the blog.
(e.g. My favourite part of Science in a van was when Alan blew the really big bubble.)·    Begin the comment with who it is for and finish the comment with who it is from.
(e.g. To Frankie,        From Johnny)·    Be positive and specific when we are writing a comment.
(e.g. rather than saying, “that is cool” we can say, ‘It is cool the way you have used bright colours in your volcano art work.”)
